Climate - Cambodia

Just like the Thais the Cambodians distinguish three major seasons: the cool season from November to January, the hot season from February until April or May, and the rainy season from May or June to October. During the rainy season about four fifths of the total annual precipitation pours down upon the country, however it does not rain all day every day. When it does rain it will usually only rain in short but heavy bursts that last for an hour or two.

It is generally best to travel in the cool and hot seasons if you wish to avoid the rains but do bear in mind that during the rainy season there will be fewer tourists and so time spent at the major temples of Angkor will be less crowded. However if you travel during the monsoon you may not be able to reach the remote eastern parts of the country.
